A superb George II period oak North Lancashire or Dales lambing chair with drawer to the base and wonderful patina c.1740. Panelled back with broad shaped wings sat to an angle at either side. Matching panelled sides supporting flat top shaped arm rests, matching moulded edge panel to the front set in a frame running up to the underside of the arms with boarded seat above. Single drawer running full depth of the seat with original knob set to the left side of the back. The moulded edge framework with pegged joints throughout. Superb rich colour and patina, presented in excell...ent original unaltered condition. Measures 31" wide at widest point x 22" deep x 49" high to top of chair back x 15" seat height.
