Superb Edwardian Gilt Brass Lamp Standard
A superb quality Edwardian cast gilt brass lamp standard with wonderful detail and original gilt finish, cleaned and rewired ready for use c.1910. The weighted cast foot with fretted floral decoration to all three sides, plus acanthus leaf border to the base with claw feet set to all three corners. Acanthus leaf overlays with flared tips to the tall reeded column and cast flared mount to the top, which has an acanthus leaf mount to the base and beaded top edge. Candle style column to the top with brass switched lamp holder above. A superb quality stylish statement piece with excel...lent original gilt finish to the heavy brass construction. Cleaned and rewired ready for use. Measures 14" wide x 14" deep at the foot x 2.5" column diameter x 70" high. Stock number 42428.
