A superb Charles II period oak refectory table with a single piece top and wonderful original colour and polish c.1680. The substantial single piece top well figured and hand cut, the initials E P carved into the top, overlapping at the ends to allow seating. Sat over carved top rails with nulled decoration to all sides, carved corbles to the ends. Cup and cover design turned and carved bulbous legs set to the corners, supported by a H base stretcher. Wonderful original colour and polish in particular to the top and base stretchers. Search 8 to 10 people with ease, very sturdy and usable. Mea...sures 96" long x 28.5" wide x 31.5" high.
