A small proportioned late Victorian carved golden oak banjo barometer with decorative porcelain dial, fully serviced and working, c. 1890. The carved figured oak case with pediment to the top and scroll design crest to the base. White porcelain dial with weather predictions to the outer edge, sat over an aneroid movement. Polished brass bezel with inset bevelled edge glass, reading marker set to the centre. Original mercury action thermometer with Fahrenheit and centigrade scales to match the barometer dial. Presented in excellent original condition with a rich polish to the case, the... movement fully serviced and working. Measures 22.5" long x 6.75" wide x 2" deep. Stock number 41685.
