A Superb Small Mid Georgian oak cased 'Cottage' longcase clock.c.1760. Brass and silvered dial with 'penny' moon to the engraved centre. Date aperture and gilt spandrels to the corners. Made by Samuel Lawson of Keighley(1721-70). Strikes on a bell to the hour. Reeded pillars to the moulded cornice hood. Shaped top to the case door flanked by reeded columns. Superb rich colour and patina. Measures only 80"high.
