A rare and collectable Victorian novelty silver cased miniature dictionary and magnifier, hallmarked Birmingham 1893. The silver case has rounded corners and a snap closing swing top cover, which opens to provide a magnifying glass set within the lid. The interior of the box section is in excellent condition and contains the original red leather bound Bryce's English Dictionary. A hanging loop is also located at one end. The items bears the makers mark for Sampson Mordan and is presented in excellent condition with a deep shine. Measures 1.4" long x 0.8" wide x 0.4" deep. Stock number 38...028.
