Persian Pure Wool Rug

An immaculate Persian pure wool Mahal rug from North Western Persia, in newly cleaned ready for use condition c.1920. The hand knotted shortbut dense pile with a mellow tobbaco brown centre, decorated with an interlocking flower head design in shades of champagne cream and soft blues with hints of green. Broad outer boarder with a blue- green ground decorated with Autumn flowers and leaves in tones to match the centre.
