Pair of William IV Mahogany Bedside Chests
A matching pair of William IV figured mahogany single drawer bedside chests with original brass ring drop handles c.1830. Each chest with solid figured mahogany reeded edge top, sat over a large single drawer base. The drawer fronts with figured veneers and ebony strung inlay, plus embossed gilded brass flower head design backplates with ring drop handles to the centres. Reeded edge plinth to the base with turned tapering feet below and solid mahogany sides. The drawers pulling out to reveal a spacious and clean interior, ideal as bedside chests or as lamp tables in a living ...room. Each presented in good original unrestored condition with a rich polish; one chest has a crack in the veneer, which doesn't detract from the overall appearance. Each measures 18.5" wide x 15" deep x 23.75" high. Stock number CS388.
