A matching pair of fine quality George III period heavy quality solid silver gilt lined salts with matching spoon, hallmarked London 1781. Each matching large salt with cast floral rim and slightly bellied base, which is sat on a flared foot with reeded rim to the outer edge. Engraved country house crest to the front of each with original gilt finish to the interiors. The matching spoons with crests to the handles and makers marks to the rear. Each piece bears the makers mark for London silversmith Soloman Houghman along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Presented in excellent... condition and weighing over 11 troy oz in total.
