An early Victorian coromandel dome top tea caddy, outstanding in quality and condition. C1840. Original highly polished decorative brass bound exterior in immaculate condition, the domed top opening to reveal two matching domed top caddies marked green and black, opening with spring loaded release buttons to the front. Original lead foiled interiors. Engraved gilt brass hinges lock and fittings. Makers mark to the interior for Baxter, London. Working lock and key. Measures 9.75" wide x 4.75" deep x 6.5" high.
