An outstanding quality antique Victorian period solid oak aneroid banjo barometer by highly regarded maker Negretti & Zambra, c.1885. High quality well carved oak case with superb original colour and polish. Porcelain enamel dial, set behind bevel edge glass with a cast polished brass bezel and centre reading marker. Matching scale to the mercury action thermometer with large cistern to the bottom. Bears the makers name to the dial and serial number 18213, indicating a year of manufacture c.1885.
