An outstanding George II period oak candle table with pegged joints and wonderful original rich patina c.1740. The figured oak top with moulded edge, sat over a slim well turned column with original turned surface mount to the top. The slender footed tripod base with visible securing pegs to each leg and the centre section. Hand forged original securing plate to the underside of the foot. Wonderful original rich patina throughout including the underside of the surface. Presented in excellent original condition with no damage or repairs. Measures 14.5" diameter x 27" high.
