A fine original oil on canvas by highly regarded and sought after artist Marcel Dyf ' Vase de fleurs' c.1950's. Superbly painted in the impressionist style typical of the artist with a vase of mixed colourful flowers sat in a decorated floral porcelain case resting on a plate. Sat against a pastel warm glowing background on a mint green spotted table cloth. With excellent empasto to the flower petals and bright colours making the painting stand out as one of the artists better works. Signed by the artist bottom right corner. Marcel Dyf born in Paris in 1899 moving to Arles in 1922 to train as ...a painter where he set up a studio, exhibiting extensively including Paris and Cannes where he attracted the attention of American collectors. In England his works were exhibited and sold through Frost & Reed in London. He died in 1985. Presented in superb original condition with no damage or repairs, sat in a quality contemporary gilt dusted plaster frame. Measures 27" wide x 30" high. Stock number BA104.
