A Victorian polished oak banjo barometer made by Benetfink & Co of London c.1880. Porcelain dial with coloured lettering marking the weather predictions, along with the maker's name, Benetfink & Co of Cheapside, London (w.1865-85). The porcelain dial is sat behind a bevelled edge glass, mounted in a polished brass bezel with a centre reading marker. Matching porcelain thermometer scale above with mercury action thermometer. Carved decoration to the solid oak casing with superb patina and deep shine. Fully overhauled movement, presented in immaculate condition. Measures 35..." long x 11" wide x 3.25" deep.
