A Mid Georgian period oak cased 8 Day longcase clock made by John Hall of Beverley.c.1775. Brass & silvered arched top dial with date aperture and seconds count. Gilt spandrels to the corners and silvered top bearing the maker's name. John Hall of Beverley, East Yorkshire (w.1760-1813). Typical East Yorkshire case with dentil moulding to the flat top, turned columns with gilt plaster mounts. Arched top case door with canted sides. Standing on bracket feet. Fully overhauled movement, striking on a bell to the hour. Stands 81.5"high x 19" x 9"deep. Stock no. CB1209.
