Matching Pair of Early Moorcroft Leaf and Berries Salt Glazed Vases
A difficult to find matching pair of Moorcroft leaf and berries design salt glazed vases signed William Moorcroft c.1919. Each matching vase with a broad band of cascading tube lined leaves and berries set below the rim of the vase. The leaves painted in soft creams and golds and the berries in browns and pale pinks; set against a pale blue background with ochre tones of the salt glaze showing through at the base and to the inside of the rim. Both vases with William Moorcrofts signature in blue to the base along with factory impressions. Both vases presented in perfect condition with no dam...age or repairs. Each vase measures 2.75" diameter at the widest point x 5" high. Stock number 42273.
