A large Victorian gilt brass campaign barometer in presentation case c.1885. Silvered engraved dial bearing the maker's name, Short & Mason of London. Rotating altimeter to the surround of the gilded brass case. Larger proportions measuring 2.75" diameter. Complete in mahogany sloping front case with velvet lining and brass catch to the front. Full working order. Gilding in excellent condition. Barometer measures 2.75" diameter x 4" high including hanging loop x 1" deep. Case measures 4.5" long x 4" wide x 2.5" deep. Stock number 36726.
