An immaculate George V period solid silver capstan's style ink well by highly regarded maker Asprey's, hallmarked London 1923. Circular form with weighted base to allow use as a paperweight and the sides flared towards the base. Domed hinged lid to the top, the top opening to reveal a clean interior with slight well to hold the ink spills and recess to the centre holding the original glass well. The underside of the well with horn base. Bares the makers mark for highly regarded and collected silversmiths and retailers Asprey's along with clear hallmarks to all sections.
