A fine quality early Victorian 8 day single fusse drop dial wall clock by George Gibbs of London C.1845. 8" engraved silvered dial bearing the makers name, single fusse movement with anchor escapement. The small proportioned high quality figured mahogany case with moulded surround to the dial and gilt brass framed pendulum view window. Access door to the side and the base of the case. Cast brass bezel to the dial door. Presented in excellent condition with original patina to the case, full working order. George Gibbs listed as making between 1832 to 1851. Measures 8" dial x 12" max width x 1...4" high x 5" deep. Stock number 37100.
