A superb quality George III period walnut toilet mirror with serpentine fronted drawers to the base and bevelled edge mirror glass c.1800. The figured walnut mirror with two serpentine fronted drawers to the base. Book matched veneered crossbanded surface to the base top with moulded plinth to the lower section and small ogee bracket feet below. The two moulded edge uprights, which support the mirror, are set back at a slight angle and have the original brass finial to the top. The mirror has a broad bevel edge to the quarter plate mirror glass with the surrounding ...frame including a moulded edge with a gilt plaster inner edge. Axe drop fittings allow the angle of the mirror to be adjusted as desired. Excellent rich colour and polish throughout along with an excellent mirror glass. Measures 15" wide x 8" deep at the base x 26" high to top of the mirror. Stock number 42174.
