A George III period figured oak chamfered top tea caddy with later painted exterior resembling a Georgian town house c.1810. The hinged lid with chamfered top, the sides superbly later painted to depict a Georgian town house with wonderful detail. Brass ring drop carry handles to the sides and lock to the front. The top opening to reveal an original interior with two compartments each with chamfered lid for storing the tea and a space to the centre for a mixing jar; original blue velvet lining to the lid. Presented in excellent condition with a rich polish. Measures 12" wid...e x 6.5" deep x 7" high. Stock number 39069.
