George III Brass Bound Mahogany Wine Cooler
A difficult to find George III period brass bound mahogany wine cooler with original lead lining and matching stand c.1790. Oval form with solid mahogany planked sides supported by two brass bands, quality cast axe drop handles to the sides. Original lead lined interior with removeable plug for draining the dissolved ice. Sat on the original stand with tapering legs capped with brass castors. Superb quality and original condition with a rich patina. Measures 29" wide x 18" deep x 21.5" high. Stock number 36820.
