A fine quality Victorian octagonal silver mustard pot with Bristol blue glass liner in immaculate condition, hallmarked London 1842. The solid silver pot with fretted sides and a solid panel with matching decoration sat behind the scroll design handle, plus stepped rim to the pot top and foot. Hinged lid with fretted thumb plate to the aid opening and a hole to the opposite side of the lid for the spoon. The lid opening to reveal an original removable Bristol blue glass liner in perfect condition. Bears the makers mark for highly regarded and collected silversmiths Edwards & J...ohn Barnard along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Presented in immaculate condition and weighs 5.6 troy oz excluding the liner (silver spoon included). Measures 3.75" wide including handle x 2.75 deep x 2.25" high to top of the lid or 3" high to top of thumb plate. Stock number 42228.
