A fine quality Oriental Arita ware vase with superb hand painted decoration C.1880. Cylindrical form with ring handles to the sides and paw feet to the base. The rim and base with decorative floral bosses and a hand painted band of terracotta and gilt decoration. The central band painted with floral decoration and birds to the centre. Signature to the base indicating being made by Hicho - Zan - Shimpo. Useable as a vase or stick stand. Presented in immaculate condition with no damage or repairs. Measures 16" high x 6.5" diameter.
