An unusual fine quality Edwardian tall proportioned cut crystal silver mounted claret jug, hallmarked Sheffield 1907. The unusual tall tapering cut crystal vessel with scalloped design cut decoration forming a three dimensional honeycomb effect and star cut decoration to the base. Deep silver collar to the top with enclosed pouring spout to the side and domed hinged lid set above. The cast silver handle set high to the side with decorative mount to the collar and matching mount sat against the vessel. Bears the makers mark for highly regarded Sheffield silversmiths Walker & Hall along w...ith clear hallmarks to all sections. Presented in excellent condition with clear crystal and immaculate silver fittings. Measures 4.25" diameter at the base x 6.5" maximum width with handle x 12" high. Stock number 40939.
