An Edwardian Sutherland table with the original soft green lacquered chinoiserie decorated finish c.1910. The solid mahogany construction table with narrow proportions and serpentine edges to the drop leaves. Elegant and slender turned legs to the base with supporting base stretchers; the leaves lifting and legs folding out to form a sturdy occasional table. Original soft green lacquered finish with chinoiserie and gilt relief decoration throughout. Measures 19.5" wide x 8" deep (closed) x 24" high, or 19.5" wide x 29" deep when open. Stock number 42852.
