Edwardian 8 Day Inlaid Balloon Clock
A top quality Edwardian inlaid mahogany balloon shaped mantel clock with Sheraton inlay and 8 day French movement, fully restored and working c.1910. The elegant balloon shaped mahogany case with fruitwood strung edge and Sheraton sunburst to the front; matching stringing to the sides of the case. Moulded plinth to the base with small brass bun feet below. Convex porcelain dial with Arabic numerals and blued steel hands, sat behind a matching convex glass which is set in a polished brass bezel. French 8 day movement with platform escapement, fully overhauled and working. Presented in immacu...late condition with a rich polish. Measures 5.5" wide x 4.25" deep x 9" high. Stock number 42522.
