Early Victorian Mustard Pot with Cranberry Liner
A fine quality Victorian octagonal silver mustard pot with cranberry glass liner in immaculate condition, hallmarked Sheffield 1845. The solid silver pot with fretted sides, stepped rim to the pot top and foot and a scroll design handle. Hinged lid with fretted thumb plate to the aid opening and a hole to the opposite side for the spoon. The lid opening to reveal an original removable cranberry glass liner in perfect condition. Bears the makers mark for highly regarded silversmiths Henry Wilkinson along with clear hallmarks to all sections. Presented in immaculate condit...ion and weighs 5 troy oz excluding the liner (associated silver spoon included). Measures 3.5" wide including handle x 2.75 deep x 2.25" high to top of the lid or 3" high to top of thumb plate. Stock number 43199.
