Early Victorian Mahogany Tantalus Box

An early Victorian figured mahogany tantalus box with six original matching gilt decorated decanters c.1840. The figured mahogany dox with rounded front, decorative brass moulding set to the centre. Two original brass knobs with square back plates, sat on small turned mahogany. Opens to reveal a fitted and red parchment lined interior with six original matching decanters, each with excellent unworn gilt decoration and matching stoppers. Presented in excellent condition with a deep shine. Measures 11" wide x 8" deep x 10.5" high. Stock number CS56.
