Early Victorian Engraved Silver 5.5 troy oz Mug

A fine quality early Victorian engraved solid silver mug in mint condition weighing in at 5.5 troy oz, hallmarked London 1846. Octagonal form with slightly flared rim and raised matching octagonal foot, scroll design handle set to the side. The panels to the side engraved with decorative scroll and shell design decoration. Lightly gilded finish to the interior. Bears the makers mark for Birmingham silversmiths Joseph & Albert Sowray along with clear hallmarks. Measures 3.25" diameter x 4.5" wide including handle x 3.5" high. Stock number 42535.
