An antique Welsh fruitwood cawl bowl with superb original patina C.1840. A beautifully worn piece with old stapled steel repair to the rim. Ring turned rim and underside, with rich colour. Originally used for serving 'cawl' a Welsh type of porridge. Ideal as a fruit bowl or table centre. Measures 14.5" diameter x 3.25" deep. Stock number 33695.
