A Victorian polished steel Milners safe in immaculate condition with working lock and key c.1880. The heavy construction over three inches thick, rolled seems to the edges and hinged lid to the top. Brass Royal crest to the front edge of the lid and Milners brass medallion style label to the front. Carry handles to the sides and matching handle to the lid with serial number. Opens to reveal a clean painted interior. Milners safe company was formed in Liverpool in 1830 by Thomas Milner and invented the fire proof safe, this number example in superb condition and with working lock and keys.
