Antique George III Period Laquered Trunk on Original Stand
An Antique George III period lacquered trunk on original matching carved and lacquered stand. c.1820. Original black lacquer with hand painted gilt oriental style decoration to the top and all four sides. Solid mahogany construction. Matching hand carved stand with cross frame and decorative stretchers, decorated in matching lacquered finish with gilt decoration. Hinged lifting lid opening to reveal an aged painted interior with original hinges. Lifts off the stand for ease of moving. Very original, very little ware to the decoration. Measures 35" wide x 23" deep x 40.5" high.
