A Superb George III period mahogany inlaid stick barometer.c.1810. Slim proportioned fruitwood inlaid case with a visible tube. Silvered engraved scale with vermier marker to the top and thermometer to the side. Opening door case.Broken arch pediment to the top. Turned cistern cover to the base. Made by J.Pochaine of Newcastle(working 1800-20).Full restored. Measures 38"long x 5"wide x 2.5"deep. Stock no.26939.
