A Fine Mid Georgian oak and mahogany cross banded 8 Day longcase clock.c.1760. Brass and silvered engraved dial with cherub spandrels to the corners and centre. Date aperture and seconds count. Strikes on a bell to the hour. Made by Thomas Clare of Warrington. Quarter turned columns to the case. Glass panel to the moulded cornice hood. Superb mid oak colour and patina. Stands only 79"high. Full working order.
