A Fine George III mahogany and fruitwood inlaid stick barometer.c.1815. Original paper scales with summer and winter readings. Glazed opening door with shaped pediment to the top. Vernier marker to the visible tube. Swaggered fruitwood inlay down to an oval Sheraton inlaid cistern cover base. Made by Braithwaite of Halifax(w.1815-35). Rare early form of scales.
